Striking “Scimitar” dining set by French modernist designer Boris Tabacoff (1927–1985), produced by Mobilier Modulaire Moderne (MMM) in the early 1970s. This complete ensemble includes six of the iconic Scimitar chairs—a notably rare configuration—and a matching round glass-top table. The sculptural forms and crescent-shaped chrome bases epitomize Space-Age French design at its boldest and most refined.
The chairs have been expertly reupholstered in high-quality white leatherette, staying true to the original look and material, while offering a fresh, immaculate finish. Their cantilevered chrome bases give a floating effect that perfectly echoes the gravity-defying elegance of the period. The tempered glass tabletop, resting on a coordinating chrome base, completes the set with perfect cohesion.
