About the Item

For your consideration this rare, important and so elegant Dining Room Suite, designed in Art Deco style by Vittorio Dassi in the 1950s, magnificent example of Italian ebanisterie of the period. It's composed by the dining Table with six Chairs, the Buffet with cabinet Bar and the Sideboard with mirror. All the items have elegant lines and solid rosewood structures, with the wood surfaces in very good conditions of the period as the images show. The Sideboard with mirror has the cabinet demilune shaped, with glass top in black opaline and equipped with six drawers finished crystal bevelled handles. Even the Buffet and the dining Table are finished with glass top in black opaline and all these three items are supported by two grooved solid curved mahogany wood elements shaped like shell, fixed on embossed base made in precious marble of the Alps. The Chairs are upholstered with amazing faded rose velvets and are in excellent conditions as well the springs and padding. Dassi Mobili Moderni has been the main cabinetmakers choosen by Gio Ponti. We can manage the shipping over the world, packing the items with customized wooden crates. They will be shipped from Italy and under existing legislation, any item created within and/or over 70 years old by an artist, designer or manufacturer requires an export permit endorsed by the Italian Fine Arts dept, as well as, concerning all items made of rosewood and sold outside UE countries are in need to be exported regurarly with the CITES international certificate.
