18th Century Bleached Oak Gateleg Drop Leaf Dining Table, Portugal
About the Item
This handsome bleached oak gateleg dining table with decorative turned legs has two drop leaves which allow it to serve as narrow console table as well.
Notice the patina of the oak, aged and naturally distressed over generations of use revealing scratches, varied coloration, stains, old cracks, small gouges, etc. which all add to the aged appeal of the table.
The large oval shaped top has 2 drop leaves, so when closed it serves as a 21" deep console table but expands to 69.75" long when fully opened.
Please examine the close up photos to appreciate the patina of the wood; the old scratches, nicks and marks mix with the wood grain adding depth of character.
This 5' gateleg table has been restored, is strong/stable and ready for use.
All scratches, cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this versatile table.
