20th century Biedermeier style walnut dining table Handmade by fine Biedermeier dealer Alois Hummel from Germany. Walnut with lighter inlay banding on top, tapered straight legs. A very high quality Biedermeier reproduction fabricated by Alois Hummel, Germany.
Absolutely beautiful condition. Originally purchased in Frieburg, Germany from Alois Hummel Biedermeier and shipped to the United States.
Very good overall condition. Light wear to finish from general use.

Albert-Lucien Guenot (1894-1993)
Guenot was a French decorator and furniture designer, born in Arcueil-Cachan, and schooled at the Ecole Boulle in Paris. Guenot immersed himself in “The Moderne Style” by working as a designer in the studio of Maurice Dufrene, in sculpted wood with Laurent Malcles, in sculpture with Paul Follot, in ironwork for Edgar Brandt, and briefly for architect Rene Crevel. From 1923 the balance of his career was at the Pomone design studio of Au Bon Marche department store in Paris. He became the chef d’atelier under director, Paul Follot.
