Antique Swedish Folk Art Handmade Dining or Work Table, Trestle Table in Pine
About the Item
Swedish folk art table from the early 1800s. The table is a so called trestle table, meaning it's an early primitive type of table with a loose table top on a leg frame. Made by hand in solid pine and never painted, meaning the wood has aged naturally with patina and character after 200 years of use. The table top consist of only two wide boards of wood which was harder to do because it required larger trees. The table also has an early form of graffiti, at some point a name and initials have been carved into the table. It would work well as either a dining or work table, or just a table. It's a versatile size with large character.
