Belgian Constructivist Inlaid Dining Table with Two Leaves

About the Item

An original Belgian Art Deco dining table featuring a parquetry inlaid table top defined by expert woodworking and a curved double pedestal base with polished aluminum decorative accents. Branded "Importe de Belgique" Attributed to: Marcel-Louis Baugniet (1896-1995) Due to the nature of the grain and its inlaid parquetry application, the raw and unornamented top has an iridescent and spotted quality reminiscent of an oscelot's fur. The robust satin lacquered rectangular tabletop is supported by an interesting lower structure. The table has two leaves of a slightly different color. These table leaves can be used singly or together for the full extension. The Constructivist urban and austere design of this table projects an air of strength and solidity.  Beautifully crafted with a keen eye for detail and proportion, this set would make a impressive statement in any room setting and can complement many different furniture design periods ex: Minimalist, Mid Century, French Modern, Moderne, Post Modern, Contemporary, Italian design, Industrial, Arts & crafts..... Total dining table 82" long w/ one leaf, w/two leaves 101.25 " long Each leaf measures ~19 1/4 " x 35 1/4" FYI: The table has 4 matching dining chairs not included in this price and in separate listing.

Two-Tone Sycamore Wood Modern Dining Table with Pedestals
By Davidson
Located in London, GB
Inspired by Mies Van der Rohe's iconic Barcelona Pavillion, the Rivington Dining Table is a striking ode to European 20th-century design through its bold use of asymmetric shapes and contrasting materials. The smooth curvature of the pedestals is complimented by an angular table top, distinguishing itself as a minimalist and contemporary counterpart to some of Davidson's classic designs. The Barcelona Pavillion is a harmonic exploration of contrasting shapes and colours, echoed here through the similar contrast between Sycamore Silk and Sycamore Black wood finishes. Able to accommodate any number of guests, this handcrafted dining table is available as an 8, 10 or 12-seater. Elegant and innovative, the Rivington Dining Table sets the aesthetic tone for a design-forward and luxurious dining room.
