About the Item

Large neoclassical Biedermeier expandable / extending dining room table in walnut and oak from Southwest Germany around 1830. Solid walnut wood side plates and conical square pointed legs. Carved notch all around the top edge and ebonized decorative trim around the bottom edge. Fully restored condition, hand-polished with shellac. Expandable up to 355 cm (7’ 7,8“). When fully extended, the table offers seating for approx. 14 to 16 people. Long original pull-out mechanism made of solid oak wood. Five walnut veneered extension leaves / plates each 45 cm (17,7“) added in the restoration.
