With simple geometric lines the Slab Dining Table serves as a gathering place in any home. This tables's strong, architectural form encompasses a rectangular solid wood table top balanced atop two to three plinths based on table length. Further geometric interest is found through linear repetition and the offset wood panels hung off each plinth, creating depth and shadows. The expansive planes of the dining table highlight the natural beauty of wood, bringing warmth and character to this minimalist piece. Available lengths: 7', 8', 9', 10', 12', 14', 16', 18' Available depths: 42"", 48", 52" Tables under 10' in length will have two plinths as a base. Dining tables over 10' in length will have three plinths to support the wood tabletop. This will feature a rectangular base in the middle and two square bases on either side. The Slab Collection is a collaboration between Union Wood Co and designer Alyssa Lewis of Studio Block. About the Designer Alyssa Lewis is the Creative Director of Studio Block, a Vancouver-based, multidisciplinary design studio that focuses on design for residential and commercial interiors, fine art inspired products, and brand styling. Her approach is simple: using a philosophy of reduction, she produces items and spaces that beautifully function without distraction.
