About the Item
Our DANI table is inspired by antique renttables, modernist furniture and nature. As in all our designs we start from the base material we come across and current projects we're involved in. In this instance we found a beautiful platane tree, that needed to be removed, at a house renovation we did. We offered to do the work in exchange for the wood. After years of slowly drying we took it out of the stock as we needed a 2 plank top from the same tree. The platane was ideal. At that moment we were simultaniously restoring a 300 year old renttable and a modernist brazilian bench. Suddenly all came together and we were inspired to do the base in these spirits. Ultimatly the proportions and lines came out naturally and led to this design.
