Danish Brutalist Oak Extending Dining Table in the style of Henning Kjærnulf, 19

About the Item

This vintage oak table shares the essence of Kjaernulf's furniture design. Its brutalist aesthetic, highlighted by intricate leg carvings, is beautifully balanced by its rounded shape. In excellent vintage condition and gliding smoothly, it exudes stability, with only a touch of charming patina, as visible in the photos. Measuring 120cm (47.24”) by 120cm and standing at a height of 74cm (29.13”), each additional leaf (2) adds 50cm (19.68”) to its length, making it ideal for accommodating a large dinner party. Suitable for 6/8/10/ people, when extended it. The height for having chair underneath is 62cm (24.40”). Henning Kjaernulf, a 20th-century Danish designer and architect, effortlessly blends the timeless appeal of mid-century modern and the rustic charm of farmhouse chic / baroque in his creations. The well-proportioned design allows this table to seamlessly integrate into both kitchen and dining room settings. with the added convenience of 2 extra leaves (1 in massive oak with dropped down face and 1 in veneer) in oak like rest of the table is in solid oak, you can extend the table to an impressive size, perfect for hosting larger gatherings. The wood is in extremely good condition. It show signs of use in color and patina. But no ugly scratches or damages. The table stands solid and stable. Please notice that we recomend being 2 people extrending the table and putting the leaves in, though it is possible to do single person.
