Images show the table in all lights from natural to artificial.
Here we have a 1/1 dining table in oxidised spalted maple.
The video shows the oxidising process in which wire wool and vinegar are mixed to create a solution that darkens the tannins in the wood and results in a metallic, dramatic effect throughout the grain tones.
The top is made of two matching slabs of spalted maple that are shaped to intertwine before flipping 180 degrees and joining permanently.
The character cracks are stabilised with piano key inlays.
The top is then mounted on oxidised maple rectangular panel legs.
There is an option to purchase the matching benches for an additional cost.
The final finish on top of the oxidisation solution is a hard wax oil combination for the perfect matte sheen.
This has been the personal table of Designer and Master-craftsman Oliver A-J in his Devon home for several years and has been looked after meticulously, however has been refinished to new standard for the sake of sale, to make room for a new piece.
One thing to note is the image showing the small corner engraving of his original furniture company branding, though it does not detract attention.
This table can also be made in any wood type or finish, and can be made to any dimension / measurement.
Every item is quality checked profusely prior to crating and shipping, therefore returns are only accepted under the circumstances something has gone seriously wrong and the material used by ourselves has somehow failed. Out of the sale price, we pay for professional crating and this has been successful every single time.
