About the Item

Early 18th Century Joined Oak Refectory Table A fine and robust joined oak refectory dining table, early 18th century, England. The table features a wide three-plank top, approximately 183 cm in length, with a rich, golden-brown patina developed over centuries of use. The breadboard ends are pegged. Clear evidence of period hand tools. Below, a nulled frieze rests on baluster-turned supports with block feet, united by a peripheral stretcher, giving both strength and visual balance. This is a genuine early 18th-century example of vernacular English craftsmanship, notable for its presence, colour, and originality. Well suited to both domestic and commercial interiors. ***More Photographs Available on Request*** Dimensions: Height: 75.5 cm (29.75 in) Length: 183 cm (72 in) Width: 80.75 cm (31.75 in) Condition: Very good for its age.
