Elegant English Cross Banded Inlaid Mahogany Dining Table with Leaves

About the Item

A fine English inlaid mahogany dining table, the well-figured mahogany top with lovely burl walnut crossbanding. supported on square legs ending in block feet. The table can be used in multiple configurations: with no leaves measuring 58" width by 60" length. It has 2 leaves each measuring 27" in width. With both leaves in place the table is about 9'6" in length. There is a third leaf of the same size with an age crack. This is a stately and versatile dining table that came directly from the estate of a San Francisco socialite. With strong figuring to the mahogany and very pretty crossbanding, this table is simply beautiful. Circa 1800-1830.
