French Neoclassical Maurice Hirsch Black Gilded Mirror Table, 1970s
About the Item
This luxurious hexagonal dining or center table is signed by French neoclassical designer Maurice Hirsch, and was made as a bridge table in the early 1970s. Typical of the designer, the piece was inspired by the 19th century, albeit with a contemporary twist. Rich, black wood with golden accents makes up the body of the table, which has been re-varnished to bring out the original beautiful tones of the wood. Bright detailing along the grooves of the piece reveal an exquisite, highly crafted work. It features a mirrored top, and will be an ideal match for a large entrance decorative table.
