About the Item
George III Mahogany Twin Pedestal Extending Dining Table
A charming George III style twin pedestal extending dining table, crafted from high-quality Georgian mahogany and dating from the late 18th century. The solid top is constructed from three beautifully figured pieces, with gently rounded corners to the ends. The pedestals supports the end leaves of the table on a ring turned stem with tripod of reeded legs, finished with brass toes and castors. The central leaf can be removed to shorten the table or to split it into a pair of side tables, offering versatile use. From six seater dining table to pair of consoles.
This elegant table is completely original and exudes character, showcasing a warm, aged patina and fine craftsmanship. Its proportions and detailing make it a striking centerpiece for both formal and more casual interiors, combining practicality with period charm.
