Once more, Giuseppe Rivadossi demonstrates his remarkable ability to embody material and technical expertise through this table, setting a prime example. The square-shaped tabletop is upheld by four iron supports expertly bent to smoothly fit the wooden base, following its curvature. The decorative nature of the iron supports not only provides structural reinforcement but also significantly shapes the design, accentuating the exceptional craftsmanship evident in this table. Each wooden component, from the top to the legs, embrace finely detailed carvings that are meticulously finished. The oak imbues the table with its distinctive appearance, characterized by pronounced grains and warm hue, which soften the strict lines defining its overall aesthetic.
Giuseppe Rivadossi (1935) was born in Monteclana di Nave, Italy, where he still lives and works. At a young age, Rivadossi's path begins with wood carving, with works reflecting on his poetic idea of living. In 1962, Rivadossi took over the carpentry founded in 1920 by his father Clemente, which he transformed into an atelier, or rather a creative workshop. Eventually, Rivadossi and collaborators established 'Officina Rivadossi' in 1976 where he started the manufacture of wooden objects and unique modern furniture.
