Grand Italian Neoclassical Style Round Tulip Dining or Center Table
About the Item
Grand Italian round dining table or center table featuring a carved tulip petal motif base. Crafted in the neoclassical style with a large round top having a sunburst pattern of rich walnut veneers that radiate out from the center. The top has a gilt ring for contrast and the top measures 2.5 inches thick on the sides. The pedestal base is hand-carved with an intentionally distressed painted finish having craquelure. The finish has a smooth clear coating on top and a rich, rustic Italian farmhouse patina. Beautifully crafted with excellent joinery and craftsmanship. The table has a protective glass that conforms to the round shape (not pictured). Provenance: From the estate of artist Ira Yeager (American 1938-2022) Calistoga, CA.
