About the Item
Discover the elegance and softness of our Cloud Dining Table. This table’s organic shape and rounded edges make for a comfortable and tactile experience while seated at the table. The piece’s unique, cloud-like shape provides interest and intrigue to any interior. Handmade using North American hardwood, this table is both strong and durable, all while showcasing the beauty of solid wood and the craftsmanship our studio stands for. Offered in a standard size of 120 x 40” x 30” we are more than happy to field inquiries for customized versions at whatever size and shape is most optimal for your space.
We work with North American solid hardwoods on a made-to-order fabrication basis. The images and pricing above illustrate our use of flat cut white ash. Additional offerings in white oak, dark oak, walnut & hard maple are available, with different finish oils & stains at our disposal.
Please reach out for any customizations to species, stains, or leather quality. We are more than happy to provide more information and pricing as per your specifications.
As all of our products are made-to-order, we cannot accept returns or refunds of purchased items.
Crating, shipping & packaging materials are not included in any flat rate shipping quote provided. Please inquire within at the time of order for a quote on any applicable charges.
Mary Ratcliffe Studio works with their own shipping & freight carriers and can supply a rate for this on request.
Our larger & fragile works will be custom crated & packed for shipping. Some of our smaller items can go out in rigid foam lined boxes via ground shipping. Please inquire within for quotes on these options and related costs.
Installation may be required for your piece.
Local Delivery within the GTA is available. MRS also works with 3rd party delivery teams in the Toronto area for in-home delivery & installation of your piece should you wish to have this arranged/quoted.

The Fluent dining table is handcrafted with multiple layers Mortex® on a wooden base. Mortex is a premium natural plaster that has proven its quality in construction purposes for years. It is used for bathrooms, floors, stairs, swimming pools, etc.
In terms of composition, it is similar to products like Betoncire or Venetian plaster, but Mortex does not contain epoxy or polyurethane resins and it is waterproof by nature.
The plaster is applied using the “a fresco” method, which means the previous layer has not yet fully hardened before the next one is applied. This technique allows all layers to bond together and obtain the highest quality result.
The result of this handcrafted process is a textured piece of art with a human touch. *The irregularities, imperfections and color shades that arise after the application of the plaster leaves the signature of the craftsman. This makes each piece unique.
The altruistic & humble character of our pieces ensures that they can be used in many different styles, such as contemporary, wabi sabi, japandi, minimalism, brutalism, industrialism, etc.
