Impressive 1950s Edward J. Wormley for Dunbar Large Dark Mahogany Dining Table
About the Item
This is want I believe to be a rare Edward J. Wormley for Dunbar dining table, circa 1950, from one owner estate. Since it's not marked, but came from an original estate where all matching dining room items were marked Dunbar, I have to say attributed. Please see matching credenza and dining chairs in my other listings. I know Dunbar and the quality and craftsmanship match up, besides the mahogany and finish match the companion pieces. Open square pedestal design is similar to a Paul Frankl designed table. Shown in original finish shows wear and age, but will be refinished to match original color prior to shipping or custom color options are available. Dining table has four 12" leaves and extends from 70.19" to 118.25" with all leaves inserted. There is a center support that drops down, when all leaves are in place. Distance between legs is 38", leg room on ends to pedestal is 13" and apron to floor is 27.63". Payl Frankl has a similar square cut out pedestal base.
Photos were taken outside due to its size, finish is darker than appears in daylight in some photos, much darker when inside a home. Will be in excellent condition, once refinished. Please allow several weeks for refinishing.
