Italian Dining Table in Walnut with Sculptural Base, 1940s

Italian dining table, walnut, metal, Italy, 1940s.
This early midcentury Italian dining table has a rectangular top with rounded corners and a detailed cross-section. The top is framed which highlights the veneered top. Remarkable about this table are the legs. Four legs lift the tabletop up whereas diagonal rods connect to the shorter leg in the middle. Not only are the legs slightly tapered but also decorated with multiple rings adding a relief-like structure to the design.
Please note that the top shows signs of age and use. Therefore restoration is needed before shipping.
