“Japan” pear wood and walnut dining table by designer Dirk Meylaerts.
"Another way of building a table with a central element that consolidates the table top and wedges that exert a vertical force. The two v-shaped trestles are the most minimalist shapes possible, self-supporting.
For this table, I used the best preserved boards from my stop of wood : those with the least twist so that they can be used in the length direction of the table and that they maintain a considerable thickness after planing." Dirk Meylaerts
