About the Item

Fantastic French Art Deco dining table, writing table, or bureau plat attributed to Jules Leleu (French 1883-1961). The rectangular table features dramatic round column corners and a parcel gilt accent on the top and bottom border. The thick, round legs which Leleu had an affinity for are slightly tapered and end with brass sabots. The table has a rich lacquered finish and measures 25.25 inches from the floor to the apron. There is a slight sag in the middle of the table which measures 1 inch lower than the corners. Excellent joinery and craftsmanship with a chic profile and opulent style. From an estate in San Francisco, CA.
