About the Item

Pictured is the rustic French refectory table with top in-excess of over 8 and half feet in length, comfortably seating 10. Dating from the very early 19th century, with a triple plank solid pear wood top with cleated bread-board ends. The base with solid elm frieze and legs, adjoined by a H stretcher. A wonderful substantial rustic country table, full of aged details. Very well presented, in good rustic condition, structurally very sound and sturdy, and ready for use. **More Pictures Available on Request*** Dimensions: This table measures approximately 75.25 cm (29.625") tall, 261 cm (102.75") long, and 76.25 cm (30") wide. Condition: Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This table is in a good rustic condition, commensurate with its age, is structurally very sound and sturdy, with no loose joints. Lots of aged details, including some old decay, which has been fully arrested and waxed in, and does not affect the sturdiness or strength of the table in any way. Extinct old worm holes, typical of old fruitwood and elm, which has all been treated, waxed in and does not affect the sturdiness of the table in any way. Overall, a very well presented table, strong and robust. Suitable for the rigours of modern life. Carefully serviced in our workshop, sensitively cleaned, waxed polish finished, now very much ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
