Three legs
The Lavitta Collection draws upon the influences of traditional rugged Finnish outdoor furniture. The novel interpretation of the countryside classics creates a fascinating contradiction where rational practicality merges with a sophisticated tactile and visual appeal.
The Lavitta Round Table is a modern classic that focuses on the sophisticated union of traditional wooden furniture with contemporary design.
Designed by Poiat Studio in 2016, the Lavitta Round Table follows the lines of the Lavitta Chair with its tapering legs and rounded corners. The base of the table is made entirely of veneered and moulded plywood, without any steel parts.
The origin of the word Poiat summarises both worlds of the company: a small village in the Italian Alps and a word meaning “boys” in one of the Finnish dialects. The love for Italian design aesthetics and heritage combined with the Finnish cultural tradition of collaborative working.
