This stunning circular dining table is resplendent in macassar veneer arranged in a starburst pattern. The design consists of 8 pie-shaped wedges formed from 32 pieces of veneer. Macassar, a subspecies of ebony, was selected for its straight grain, high striation, and exceptional hardness. The base is pyramidal, with three tapered legs joined by curved lobes. The piece is truly a marvel of nature and human craftsmanship. The high-gloss lacquer finish accentuates the beauty of the wood.
