About the Item
Magnificent gold or gilded glass top dining table after Versace. Made in the neoclassical taste featuring corinthian style Greek column fluted legs. The table base is decorated with Greek key style designs inset in the frieze over black velvet. The Greek keys have a silver textured finish appearing to be inset with crystals. Each corner of the base is decorated with large gilt rosettes over a black lacquered finish. The base is surmounted by a large rectangular pane of glass with a beveled ogee edge. The glass is supported by round gilt rests with rosettes and has applied Greek key motifs centered by a round acanthus style spray. The table is a study in maximalism with every visible part embellished with gilt and decoration. Matching set of chairs also available from an estate in San Francisco, CA.
