Split pedestal base with four Round neoclassical column pedestal, Cuban and African Crotch Grain mahogany, attributed to Cornelius Briggs, Boston
Briggs patented the expanding mechanism in the United Stated and an example of his work (a similar table) is in the American Wing, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA
Dimensions: 51" diameter when closed. With four (4) 20" leaves to expand fully to 131" x 51".
