Preben Fabcius Jorgen Kastholm Dining Table Kill 1968

About the Item

Highly rare dining or office table designed by Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm and manufactured by Kill International Fellbach, Germany 1968. This table has cast aluminium feet which are connected by a solid steel structure which is painted in black. The legs have adjustable feet to equal an uneven floor. The top is made of beautiful wenge veneer which has a nice brown colour and beautiful grain. Wenge wood was a popular wood often used for furniture in the 60s and 70s, however in meanwhile it is a rare wood and not easy to get. It is a beautiful wood which mostly has a brown tan with dark veins running through it. Its appearance is very recognizable, and makes each piece of furniture unique. This rare dining table was from a modular design and exists in different sizes, this is for a very nice slight rectangular size which could fit up to 10 chairs if wanted. The size of the top is pretty unusual which gives the table an interesting shape. The structure is beautifully constructed with the aluminium legs in combination with the black centre structure. The table is in good condition, minimal wear to the legs which is normal from several years of usage. The top was professionally refinished and is in very good condition. Chairs on the last pictures are not included.

  • Joaquim Tenreiro round dining table Brazil 1960
    By Joaquim Tenreiro
    Located in Roosendaal, Noord Brabant
Beautiful and super rare round dining table by Joaquim Tenreiro, Brazil 1960. The precision and attention to detail by Tenreiro are visible in every inch of this creation. Each curve and joint speak of his masterful understanding of the medium, transforming solid wood into an ethereal masterpiece. Made of solid rosewood, the table's thin, round structure gracefully holds a smooth, transparent glass top, allowing to see the beauty of the minimalistic cross base. The legs of this table are slender, accentuating the table's lightness. This incredibly rare dining table by Joaquim Tenreiro goes beyond just being useful. Its design is timeless, giving us a glimpse into the creative mind of a true artist. Joaquim Tenreiro was born into a family of woodworkers and carpenters in Melo, Gouveia Municipality, Portugal. In the late 1920s, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and started working for the company Laubisch Hirth...

Architectural dining table model T30 designed by Edoardo Landi and manufactured by Studio D, Italy 1973. This table is designed by Architect Landi in 1973, and was produced in a very small series by StudioD, together with some chairs, cabinets and tables. This table is made of solid pine wood and is stained in black, it has a glass top in the center which gives the table a nice transparent look. This table is a typical architects design, its clearly visible in the way its constructed and shaped. The table is differenly nice from every angle and is very nice in use as well. The middle part is open and can be used to store items, books, or paper work and it will be only visible from the top and sides. The table can be fully dis assembled for safe shipping. This is one of the most stunning tables I have seen recently and reminds a lot of the later designs by Jose Zanine Caldas as well. Documentation is available but not included in the sale. The table can use up to 8 chairs and the chairs on the picture are not included in this listing. Edoardo Landi studied architecture at the Scuola Superiore di Disegno Industriale, Venice. 1959–1964 founding member of Gruppo N...
