19th Century Provincial Farmhouse Work Table - Rustic Kitchen Island

A rustic antique, circa 1880, French or Italian Provincial oak country farm house workbench harvest table (today it would make for a wonderful large kitchen island, library table, dining table, partners writing desk, monumental sofa table, retail store counter or large buffet server)
Born in Provincial France or Italy in the 19th century, hand-crafted of warm mellow high-quality oak with rich grain detail, strong, sturdy, solid wood construction with substantial proportions, having a thick rectangular solid oak top with desirable overhang, elevated on trestle-form base, fitted with two frieze drawers, rising on chunky hand turned legs joined by H stretcher, resting on bun feet.
The table is very heavy and solid with excellent joinery and craftsmanship, while the handsome oak has a warm dark honey tone that showcases the beautiful rich wood grains.
