Handsome Scandinavian Modern oval expanding dining table in teak with 2 leaves and attributed to Dyrlund. It is in fabulous vintage condition. The top, including the leaves, has been completely and expertly refinished and the base finish has been restored. Please see photos, circa mid-late 20th century. Quick! I know you need this large expanding dining table with room for social distancing! But seriously this gorgeous teak Scandinavian Modern oval dining table which is attributed to the renowned Dyrlund furniture makers goes from a usable 59 inches long to a generous 79 inches long with one leaf installed, and an enormous 99 inches long with both leaves installed. Perfect for a growing family or someone who loves to entertain. It is comprised of a distinctive Danish style trestle base and amazing solid teak oval top. The top, including the two leaves, is made up of narrow strips of solid teak that are glued together and connected at each end with beautiful finger joints. The edges of the top have a softened bullnose profile which shows off the interesting joinery. When not in use the leaves store under the top surface. The smooth clean lines of this Scandinavian midcentury table will beautifully blend with many interior design styles from Danish modern to modern country or a mountain rustic house, and from Mid-Century Modern to Industrial or a home with a western flair. Plus, the chair combinations are limitless. You just need to make it yours!
