Scandinavian Modern vintage square like shape dining tables, side tables or stacking tables from plywood and birch by Alvar Aalto designed circa 1946 Finland and manufactured circa 1960.
Ten ( 10 ) wonderful squared dining tables, side tables, conference tables or stacking tables from birch while the Y leg construction shows plywood.
We offer a fabulous set of ten ( 10 ) squared tables by Alvar Aalto in good condition with signs of age and use like scratches and abrasions.
All tables are stable and sturdy.
These tables are great to install a flexible table group wether you need a large conference table or dining table or you want to split them and use one or two tables. In the meantime these table could be stacked and offer a space saving design.
Throughout the size and the height these tables are versatile, using as side tables, as dining tables for smaller sized rooms, for workspaces, offices, the varieties are endless.

Alvar Aalto ( 1898 - 1976 ) Finnish architect and designer
He worked in the circle of Le Corbusier, Fernand Leger, Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, Walter Gropius.
Just name but a few.
He was influenced from Deutschen Werkbund and Bauhaus and sought for organic architecture - nature landscape and buildings should be close together.
A wonderful spirit, which reflects the current vision and the spirit of the time.
Y legs stands for the leg construction and based on the bending wood by Alvar Aalto - the L legs. In the Y-legs, two slim L legs were chamfered on opposite sides and glued together.
Provenance: A little castle and conference center in the surroundings of Vienna.
We also offer in our store on the site an equal table but with a shellac polished surface, if you prefer a refinished and polished surface.
