Signe Dining Table made from Walnut, by Petersen Antiques
About the Item
This walnut dining table is seen here in 120"x 42" x 30"H, however it can be made in any size. The table is fully collapsible by removing keys where the stretcher protrudes from the leg.
Each table is bench-made in our Los Angeles workshop using traditional carpentry techniques, no nails or metal fasteners of any kind, just mortise and tenon construction reinforced with handcut wooden dowels. Because each table is made to order you can influence all aspects of design, including size, wood species and finish.

Petersen Antiques
Established in 1989 and a 1stdibs dealer since 2005, Petersen Antiques is a beautiful mixture of antique and custom-made furniture, art, and tapestries. This carefully curated collection, located in their Los Angeles workshop, is the result of 25 years of traveling the world in search of the most beautiful pieces and inspirations for custom designs. Their Swedish-American founder, Ken Petersen, began his journey collecting antique pieces from all over Europe, later returning to his roots and sourcing antiques from Sweden as well as creating new Scandinavian-inspired designs. Today, their Los Angeles workshop has a large collection of antique furniture from all around the world and is the home of their made-to-order workshop where they have a specialist team hand-build custom furniture using only the highest quality material and traditional carpentry.

We have been importing from the UK for over 30-years and this is the only Antique Dining Table or Farm Table we have ever seen created from solid Scottish Oak and it is truly breathtaking. Our Old Plank finishing department washed-off the old rather tired finish and applied a very light colour stain that would highlight the incredible grain pattern of the Scottish Oak. The Scottish Oak that was used for the Antique Dining Table base is as interesting and beautiful as the Scottish oak used for the dining tables top. After lightly colouring the Oak, our Old Plank finishers applied by hand an old school English Polish, that is both beautiful and at the same time very durable.
