About the Item
Elegante tavolo ovale allungabile in legno di mogano, databile ai primi del Novecento. Il piano, pellicciato in mogano, misura 110 x 139 cm da chiuso e può raggiungere una lunghezza massima di 270 cm in posizione estesa. Le prolunghe originali non sono più presenti, ma è possibile realizzarle su misura. Il tavolo poggia su quattro gambe tornite e scanalate in stile Luigi XVI, arricchite da placche ornamentali in metallo poste all'attacco delle gambe. In origine probabilmente dorate, queste placche hanno perso la doratura, ma possono essere restaurate su richiesta. Quando aperto, si attivano due gambe centrali di supporto (attualmente prive di rotelle, ma reintegrabili). Strutturalmente in buone condizioni, con fusto solido e incastri stabili. Il piano presenta segni di usura e graffi superficiali compatibili con l'età e l’uso dell’oggetto.
