About the Item

An incredibly stylish travertine sideboard credenza by Stone International S.p.A., this example is signed with its original Stone International label. With so few Travertine sideboards out there and with Travertine dining tables being such a hot go to item for top interior designers... this rare piece is the perfect opportunity for an interior designer looking to source a Travertine sideboard cabinet to pair and match with their Travertine dining table, which let's admit is a pretty hard thing to find but checks that hard to find box. So if you have a need for this - be sure to buy it quickly before someone else does. Featuring a gorgeous travertine slab with beautiful veining inset into the top with matching travertine slabs constructed on both sides which also function as the legs to this piece. Designed with a slight art deco flair, the beveled style edges give this piece a bit of refinement in an otherwise casual 80s vibe. Three laminate doors with push-to-open mechanisms, which are all functioning well, reveal two storage areas with removable and adjustable shelves and one pull out drawer which is great for storing silverware or barware. This 1980s Italian Post-Modern travertine credenza by Stone International SpA would work great in a Postmodern, Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or Danish modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room. Also consider mixing it up in a traditional, transitional, classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. Consider using as a conference table or corporate meeting table. MEASUREMENTS: H 33" x W 57.5" x D 19.75" CONDITION: Good vintage condition with light wear and patina. Door mechanisms are working well. Attractive and ready for immediate use.

Important Cerused Oak Sideboard by Vladimir Kagan for Kagan-Dreyfuss, Signed
By Vladimir Kagan, Kagan-Dreyfuss, Inc.
Located in Los Angeles, CA
This important piece of design history was not only designed by Vladimir Kagan and handcrafted by Kagan-Dreyfuss in circa 1949 New York... this was also owned by Kagan himself and kept throughout his entire adult life (see provenance notes below). Each of the two pieces (lower credenza and upper dry bar / hutch) are signed on the back with Kagan-Dreyfuss New York stamps. The expansive size provides exceptional storage and use options. Kagan-Dreyfuss (Vladimir Kagan's partnership with Hugo Dreyfuss from circa 1950-1960) stamped pieces are amongst the most sought after by collectors and investors of art and design. Furniture with Kagan-Dreyfuss stamps are extremely hard to find and demand exceptional value, and this credenza with hutch is double stamped (one on each piece). Featuring a cerused oak exterior, with tambour doors on the lower credenza, sculpted handles (which slide to reveal a keyhole, no key is present however can be rekeyed) on the upper hutch...
