Vintage Extending Dining Table by McIntosh
About the Item
A stylish and extremely well made vintage extending dining table by McIntosh. This was made in Scotland, it was designed by Tom Robertson and dates from the 1960’s.
It is of superb quality, the top has stunning grain patterns and sits on a solid base. The top slides apart to reveal two extending leaves that unfold to extend this from a six seater, to a ten seater.
We have had this recently stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb throughout.

Tom Robertson
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, on July 19, 1911, Thomas Robertson was known for his stylized portraits in the 1930s. His work evolved into non-objective imagery in the 1940s. Robertson studied serigraphy in New Orleans in the 1930s and began to concentrate on printmaking around the 1940s. Robertson became an advocate of prints as affordable original works of art and presented lectures demonstrating the silkscreen technique. Robertson lived the remainder of his life in the small town of Albion in Northern California, where he died on May 25, 1976.
