About the Item

1930s English Elizabethan revival draw leaf refectory dining or pub table by Jacob Summers & Sons. Part of their Hillcrest Suite as seen on page 18 of their catalog. Made from oak with a square top supported by turned balusters over a trestle base. The top has two draw leaves extending for additional space. The company was founded by Jacob Summers in the 1880s and at the time these chairs were made, their factory was located in Tottenham, North London in the UK. Upholstered in leather made in British India. The British Raj was under rule by the British Crown in India from 1858 to 1947. Dimensions: 36" x 36" x 29", leaves add 12" each
