Figure Ground is a fabrication laboratory that produces unique designs, constructed to age gracefully as classics. We believe that rare and poetic furniture should inspire space. Our Spring and Fall collection is curated in limited runs and displayed at our bespoke storefront and a selection of galleries in New York City. Our careful curation of locally sourced pieces defines a lifestyle that we love. With backgrounds in architecture, construction, interior design, and fabrication, we adapt our capabilities in the hunt for a good surprise. All of our pieces are originally designed and handmade in the Brooklyn, NY based Figure+Ground studio; we don't believe in the separation of design and fabrication. Each item is handcrafted, serialized, and shipped with a certificate of authenticity, documenting its place in history. Own an Original Figure+Ground Piece. All items are available in custom sizes or finishes upon request, please send us a message. Each item is created with natural materials that have unique figuring and coloration.
