About the Item
We designed and made this table starting from a locally harvest beech tree. As it had to make way from a construction site we purchased some beautiful tree's. After drying we started to process the wood and let it tell us what to use for what purpose.
This great top appeared and we decided to use it as one piece. Inspired by 17th century mountain tables aswell as modernist furniture we designed a sober support from 18th century oak.
The oak was burned and finished with a varnish. The top was repeatedly bleached and scrubbed after which finished with natural bee wax. This finish will age beautifully and offers great protection when applied once a year.
Alltough all our furniture are one offs we can make simular ones in the same spirit custom designed to your needs and the atmosphere you want to create in your home.
