About the Item

A refined 19th-century French Provincial drop-leaf table, handcrafted from solid walnut and sourced in Provence, France. The circular top is finished in a warm medium-brown tone that highlights the expressive grain patterns and naturally aged patina of the wood. Recently structurally revised and lightly refinished, the surface reveals the walnut’s rich figuring and depth of color while preserving its antique character. Two hinged leaves extend the surface to a full round when needed, supported by swing-out legs for stability. Raised on four finely turned legs with subtle ring and baluster detailing, the table reflects the skilled provincial craftsmanship of the period. Solid and functional, this versatile piece serves equally well as a console, kitchen or breakfast table, side table, or space-saving occasional table in both traditional and modern interiors. - Origin: Provence, France - Period: Late 19th Century - Materials: Walnut - Dimensions: W 47" x D 25"/49" x H 26.75" - Condition: Structurally restored and refinished.
