19th Century French Louis XVI Mahogany Drop Leaf End Table

About the Item

19th century French Louis XVI Mahogany drop leaf end table is elegant, versatile, and crafted to last for generations! Utilizing exotic imported mahogany, the artisans created a rectangular surface with two drop leaves, both of which have generously rounded corners so when extended do not introduce sharp edges into the room. Fitted with two drawers, each drawer has cast brass bale pulls and key guards and offers nice storage. Support is provide by a charming pair of lyres crafted from the fine wood and heavy brass wire, set upon splayed legs with cast brass paw feet, and connected with an hourglass shaped stretcher. The perfect combination of form and function! Circa 1870s Measures 26 H x 32 W x 21 D; opens to 51 W.
