About the Item

Crafted in the heart of the Loire Valley circa 1850, this extraordinary 19th-century French Provincial extending farm table captures the rustic charm and timeworn elegance of the French countryside. Made of richly patinated oak, the oval top features an intricate parquet-style paneling and includes two framed extension leaves that expand the table to a generous 96 inches in length, comfortably seating eight. Four boldly turned legs in the Louis XIII style support the table's base, which is finished in a distressed blue that contrasts with the warm oak surface. Curved oak stretchers, polished to a mellow sheen, add strength and sculptural grace to the overall silhouette. Whether placed in a grand dining room or a relaxed country kitchen, this table effortlessly blends form and function, offering both everyday utility and heirloom-quality charm. Measures: 96" inches fully extended, 66" inches without its leaves, 30" inches high, and 43" inches wide.
