19th Century Hepplewhite Drop-leaf Pembroke Side Table.

About the Item

English Hepplewhite Dropleaf Pembroke Side Table. This early 19th Century dropleaf table with drawer lifts on both sides with butterfly leaf brackets. A uniquely stylized square tabletop, it stands on four tapered legs highlighted with pinstriping inlay. The apron is fitted with a single drawer. The veneered drawer front is fitted with a wood knob pull. Sound working condition. Some wear includes rubbing at joints. Tiny veneer flake on drawer front and an old splinter loss at leaf joint shows the hinge beneath. Please see photos. The mahogany is warmly and richly patinated. Height 29” x Length 37” x Depth (closed) Fully extended tabletop is W 37” x D 38”
