About the Item
This antique Baroque drop-leaf table, crafted by a skilled Danish cabinetmaker in the 19th century, radiates timeless character and quiet elegance. Made from solid oak with a rich patina, the table features beautifully turned legs and a robust cross-stretcher base — hallmarks of traditional Baroque woodworking.
The drop-leaf design offers versatility: it can function as a compact console or occasional table when folded, and expands to accommodate dining or desk use when needed. The oak surface shows beautiful aging, adding warmth and texture to any space.
The table measures just 51 cm (20 inches) in width when both leaves are down, When fully extended, it opens to 165 cm (65 inches).
This amazing unique table will complement many interior styles. A modern, mid century, antique, classic, Scandinavian or an Art Deco home deco.
"Baroque furniture shares some characteristics with other artistic mediums during this period, the most distinctive being the elaborate ornamentation. Furniture pieces had plenty of details. In Baroque designs, decorative elements were never too much."
