Antique Oak Drop Leaf Table, Circa 1820

About the Item

An English 19th century drop leaf table with folding top and beautiful turned legs. This English folding table, from the first half of the 19th century, has a square top with elegant round corners made of two folding leaves, sitting above a beautifully turned base with side stretchers. Two gate legs extend to accommodate the folding leaves, allowing the table to fully open. The general simplicity of the lines is subtly contrasted by the elegance of the turned legs and the special legs. With its handy shape and rich patina, this English folding table from around 1820 is an asset to any home.
