Extension Dining Table w/ Trestle Base by Gudme Mobelfabrik, Denmark, c. 1960's

About the Item

Introducing an elegant, Danish-made expansion dining table constructed by the lauded Gudme Møbelfabrik company in the late 1960's. Equal parts beauty and functionality this extraordinary extension dining table is in 100% original, vintage condition. Constructed from a mix of solid and veneered Burmese teak with exceptional old-growth woodgrains this dining table unlike any other we've encountered from Denmark. With its petite stature (38" x 38") and unique square shape, this gorgeous table is ideal for those limited on space but unwilling to compromise on style and functionality. Featuring two extension leaves this versatile table can extend up to 77.5" easily accommodating up to eight guests comfortably. The intricate trestle leg design, carved out of solid teak slabs, allows one to make use of the entire table perimeter so guests can cozy up without the discomfort of having to straddle a table leg. With intricate joinery around the circumference and superb matchbook teak veneer with variegated woodgrains this table is truly a work of art. Make it yours today before it's gone forever. ---Dimensions--- Extended Width: 77.5 in / 196.85 cm Width: 38.5 in / 97.79 cm Depth: 38.5 in / 97.79 cm Height: 28.5 in / 72.39 cm This beautiful Danish-made teak dining table is in 100% original, vintage and remains in excellent structural condition. While the mix of solid and veneered teak composition is in overall great shape for its age, there are visible surface scratches on the tabletop as well minor areas of light discoloration (all clearly shown in the detail photos). The table extends and contracts smoothly, and the two leaves can be installed or removed effortlessly. With its clean lines and timeless design, this table is highly functional, structurally sound, and ready for decades more of use. Please view all photos and video for full details on the table's current condition. We're limited on the amount of media we can post so additional photos and videos are available upon request.
