Round Side Table in Quartersawn Oak by Henry Kjærnulf, 1960s, Denmark

About the Item

Round side table in solid quarter sawn oak with a beautiful wood grain. The table was made in Denmark in the 1960s and is attributed to Henning Kjærnulf. The table is solid and sturdy and mixes modern virtues with hints to baroque style, which is typical for Kjærnulf as seen in his iconic "Razorblade" chairs. Danish mid-century designer and architect, Henry Kjærnulf is somewhat of a mystery. A lot more is known about his designs than Kjærnulf himself. His wooden designs, crafted to perfection, speak for themselves. In recent years his modern baroque inspired furniture has become increasingly popular in contemporary interiors.
