About the Item

Set your drink on it. Dine on it. Spread out work on it. This piece’s unusual size, with both upper- and lower-level, drop-down panels, enables it to be tucked away as a small side table when the leaves are dropped. But when all four leaves are extended, it effectively provides as much surface as two larger tables, making it remarkably versatile in a small space. The time-honored, carved barley-twist leg design, which originated in the 17th-century’s Jacobean and William & Mary periods in England, would blend in comfortably amid a rustic décor. But because of its standout functionality, it would be something sculptural in a spare, contemporary setting as well. Dimensions when closed: 25h x 25d x 12w. Dimensions when half open: 25h x 25d x 17w. Dimensions when open completely: 25h x 25d x 26w. Usefulness: no end to it.
