A Very Fine Inlaid Georgian Mahogany Pembroke Table, U.K. Circa 1800

About the Item

A very fine George III Pembroke table in highly figured mahogany, the solid mahogany top inlaid with a satinwood crossbanded edge sided by two similarly addressed demi-lune drop leaves braced from the underside by twin gateleg supports. The frieze inlaid with a striking pattern of zig-zag motifs of ebony & satinwood, centred by a single drawer retaining its original lock & brass pulls, flanked on either side by inlaid marquetry paterae, the opposing end fitted with a false drawer. Raised overall upon four squared & tapering supports inlaid with satinwood bell-flower motifs. Provenance: The side rail of one drawer stamped with marks for Scottish BADA antiques dealer 'Muirhead - Moffat & Company, Glasgow'. Dimensions, 28.75” high x 40.25” deep x 19" wide (expanding to 46.5” wide with both leaves raised). IMPORTANT NOTE: For all interested U.S. & Overseas clients, we are currently in the process of establishing a means to expedite the process of obtaining the necessary CITES export permit required to ship items constructed of mahogany, satinwood and other protected exotic materials - whether in part or in whole, to both United States & overseas clients. That being said, at this point it may take upwards of several weeks or possibly months to obtain the necessary CITES Export permit.
