Classic 1970’s Modern square end or side table by James Davis Furniture composed of a cylindrical chrome tube frame & glass top w/ black plastic plug accents. This piece has been attributed based upon archived research including online sources, vintage documentation and catalogs, designer literature, and other materials however, it is not signed or marked in any way. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, no outstanding flaw found. Chrome, Glass, and vintage James David SASS!!!! Oh, James David Furniture Company… Your pieces are SO incredible… why must you be so difficult to research?? LOL!!! However, it’s true… our eyeballs are burning!!! We have only found two mentions of the James David furniture company. Once in an article in the Chicago Tribune dated April 13, 1979, titled Put-together Furniture, where they were touted as having “contemporary lifestyle furniture that assembles quickly and easily”;” it comes in packages and can be easily put together at home”. It seems they were the precursors to Ikea! And once in an article in The Washington Post dated November 16, 1980, titled Furnishing the ‘Elegant Eighties’ where they were described as “James David, who makes mobile furniture….” We have photographed actual documentation from a James David table for reference that the James David company exists, just difficult to locate information…Please See Photos. (the table photographed in this documentation is not our listing, and paperwork not included upon purchase of this table) Anyway, this is a fun and simple James David end or side table consisting of a classic square chrome tube frame, vertical cylindrical legs with horizontal stretchers attached with allen screws; two slightly higher than the other two, and a gorgeous glass top held by four circular black plastic decorative inset plugs on each tabletop corner. FABULOUS!!! It will be wonderful next to a chair in your family or living room, used as a side table or nightstand next to your bed, or in any room adorned with a lovely table lamp, sculpture, artwork, or foliage. Timeless, Classic, & Stunning in its Simplicity!!! This iconic chrome tube & glass end or side table by James David checks ALL the boxes! There is just no reason for you to hesitate! Do it!! Make it YOURS!!!
