Antique English Pub Table Cast Iron Kitchen Island Sofa Patio Table Rectangular Size.
Direct from England, a true antique English “pub table”, highly sought after for today’s home and equally suitable for both indoors AND outdoor patios and porches!
A versatile rectangular size (more commonly these are round), perfect for a sofa or console table or kitchen island!
The beautiful cast iron base has fine scroll work with a high trestle support and elongated feet for support.
The thick rectangular wooden top planks have beautiful grain, with banded edges and probably a newer seal has been applied.
The table is quite heavy, of course…. A BIT OF HISTORY….traditionally English pubs favored cast iron tables because they were heavy and strong, therefore less likely to be damaged if the pub patrons got unruly and began to throw furniture!!
Measurements: 29” ht. x 42” x 24.5”. 27.5” clearance under wood top.
